WHY THERAPY

There are many good reasons to start therapy and stick with it. One brilliant reason is that coming to therapy means you are investing in yourself and your value. That simple beginning sets the stage for big breakthroughs and lasting growth that seldom happen otherwise. The things you most want to create, change, or experience in your life deserve a consistent reception of maximum support. In fact, one recurring insight during therapy is how much those things actually required it. Too many of us have not yet received the support that will make all the difference for us. Therapy is something we can give ourselves to reverse that common challenge and reorient our lives.

Plus, the results apply globally. The world depends on them. Your participation in therapy contributes on the deepest level to collective change for all of humanity. Does anyone doubt that we need it? Our species faces tremendous obstacles for a sustainable future. When we attend well in therapy to our own lives, needs, and values, when we honor our existence in that manner, we make the kind of wider difference that matters most. The changes we accomplish for ourselves become a better world. They generate a quality of influence that multiplies and means something. WHAT TO EXPECT

Sessions primarily involve talking. You talk about what's going on in your life and we meet everything that comes up with curiosity, receptivity, and mutual honesty. If our work together will also benefit from additional structured exercises, and they prove to your liking, we add them as the situation invites. As our collaboration proceeds, it brings forward maximum self-expression, discovery, and growth—often in areas that need those things most. Satisfying changes take place and with them a wider sphere of personal choice and freedom develops. In support of these benefits, we sustain an atmosphere of genuine respect and non-judgmental mindfulness and awareness.

When you contact me through this website or call me, we address any questions or concerns you may have, then we set up a time for our first meeting. To keep things simple, we take care of subsequent scheduling in person. At that point, you'll have useful direct experience of the new possibility you have for a proven therapeutic ally in league with your greatest development. Basically, that's what I am, and what you can expect.
